Parking Thoughts was born whilst Ty was working as a server one summer. He and his colleagues would amuse themselves on slow shifts by guessing what customers would order based on the car they drove.
Each spread in Parking Thoughts features a colour photo of a vehicle annotated with Ty's guess at what the owner might eat & drink; an illustration in Ty's inimitable style added to set the scene.

As Ty Williams flits between Maine & Florida the archetypal sarcasm and playfulness of an East Coast native finds its way into his mixed media artwork. A free-thinking doodler, Ty's work is a unique blend of simplicity, absurdity and beauty. It's obvious from his subject matter that the sea is always on his mind but it's also clear from the idiosyncrasies of his style that the sea in question is the Atlantic... lots of pastel hues, weirdly misshapen sea creatures and faded stoney textures.
